Preformed Line Products (Australia) Pty Ltd (PLP), has added the Tavrida Electric switchgear to its range of protection equipment products to service the Australian electricity distribution utilities requirements, on an exclusivity basis.

This range of product compliments the recently acquired AEM’s range of protection equipment such as high voltage Rotary Double Break air disconnectors.

Tavrida Electric is a world leading manufacturer of medium voltage vacuum circuit breakers utilising magnetic actuator technology. Over recent years the company has supplied over 300,000 VCBs and more than 20,000 Auto-reclosers to the industry worldwide.

The commercial arrangements include the supply and distribution of Tavrida’s alliance partner, SGC (Switch Gear Company) who produce world class Fixed Pattern Switchgear utilising Tavrida’s medium voltage breakers.

Tavrida products include:  Medium Voltage Vacuum Circuit Breakers, Auto Reclosers - Sectionalisers, and Medium Voltage Switchboards. Tavrida’s latest generation products are now available to the Australian market through PLP for Utility period supply contracts and projects. PLP is fully supported by Tavrida’s Australian Master Agent, Prism Power Australia (PPA), within the utility sector, with PPA directly servicing the industrial market.
