Turning the First Soil

On the 25th of May 2005 PLP Australia held a ceremony marking the beginning of the expansion of the facility at Glendenning in Sydney's Western suburbs.

Attending was the Management and Staff of PLP, Rack Technology and Rackpack, which are all part of the PLP group. Also present were the management of Whitehorse construction, senior executives of the ANZ Bank and Deloitte Touché Tohmatsu.

Mr Norman Windell (Managing Director) announced that in 1998 PLP moved to this site with the expectation that the premises at the time were larger than what was required and that we would have ample capacity for expansion for many years into the future.

No one would have expected that in just 7 years we would need to build additional facilities to meet future capacity. This is testimony to PLP's commitment to Australian Manufacturing and also the Australian customers commitment to PLP and the PLP group.
