PLP wins Aurora Supplier of the Year

Preformed Line Products has been awarded the Aurora Energy Supplier of the Year for services in 2004. This is the third time in the last 5 years that PLP have won this Award. The following is an extract from the Aurora Energy official press release after the Award presentation.


Aurora Energy Chairman, John Hasker, said the main Award, Supplier of the Year, had been awarded to Preformed Line Products for the third time in recognition of their outstanding performance in delivery time, packaging, accounting accuracy and product quality, as well as their communication, technical knowledge and innovative ideas and processes.

“Preformed Line Products performed well above its contractual obligations by taking increased responsibility for supply relationships and high standards of customer service”, he said.

“The excellent communication flow and high level of trust between the two companies has optimised stock supply processes, which, in turn has cut administrative overheads.”

PLP Managing Director, Mr Norman Windell, said he was extremely pleased to have won the Aurora. Supplier of the Year. Award for the third time in five years.

“Aurora is to be congratulated for recognising the contributions their suppliers make towards their business success and for the true partnership manner in which supplier relationships are treated”, Mr Windell said.

“In the case of PLP, we see the Award as confirmation of the success and dedicated effort of the PLP team, as well as validation of our strong commitment to retain our manufacturing and technical expertise within Australia”.
